I was scammed at a phone store too. They gave me a receipt but never gave me the phone. I was told to come back at 8:30pm but the police said they couldn't do anything because I had signed the receipt. It's absurd that I paid for a phone and didn't get it.

They threatened to blacklist the phone if I took it and demanded more money if I wanted a different one. The police arrived at 8:30 AM, but we had already signed the receipt, so they couldn't intervene.

You've been taken advantage of, unfortunately. Pursuing the matter further might lead to aggressive attempts to intimidate you. Consider this a costly learning experience.

Be cautious when purchasing phones in the city center, as there have been reports of scams targeting tourists for over two decades. The local authorities seem to be in cahoots with these scammers.
