I'm planning a trip to Los Cabos with my family and we're wondering what the dress code is for public beaches. Specifically, are thongs (flip flops) allowed for both men and women?

Men and women in thongs are pretty common on public beaches in Los Cabos. You'll see people wearing them all day long.

You can wear whatever footwear you're comfortable in on public beaches in Los Cabos. It's a pretty laid-back place.

In Mexico, there's no strict dress code, but you're expected to cover yourself modestly. My girlfriend often wears tiny, see-through bikinis on the beach in Cabo San Lucas.
