My friend was in China Town and at about 8:15 someone unloaded a gun. Thankfully she is okay but we are curious about what exactly went down

I was in the area recently and noticed an unusually large number of police cars.

That stretch of Bellaire Boulevard can be a bit concerning at night, but I'm relieved to hear your friend is safe. The police response sounds like it was quite extensive.

That's unfortunate. Many young people often gather in that plaza, just to enjoy some Chinese food and boba tea. They're not causing any trouble. Hopefully, everyone is okay and unharmed.
