Where to learn to sew in HRM?

My kids are getting older and I want to learn how to make their clothes. I've heard that Patch is a good place to learn, but I'd love some local input.

I recently completed a course through Patch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Patch is fantastic, and I've also had a great experience at Stitch and Knot in Dartmouth. Although they don't offer sewing classes often, they're always good when they do.

After taking a class at Patch, I found it helpful to purchase the book 'How to Sew Clothes' and work through it. I was able to make a variety of beginner to intermediate clothes for myself, including a few dresses.
