I'm on a couch hunt and the prices for a good couch are ridiculously high, so I wanted to see if anyone has any experience buying from Surplus furniture and mattress warehouse?

My couch from that store lasted a good 7 years despite being used by very energetic kids and a dog, and it was always comfortable.

I bought a couch 7-8 years ago and it's still great, although I probably should replace it soon. I also had a headboard that I bought in university and used for 4 years before getting rid of it.

The quality of the products is questionable, and the sales staff can be quite pushy. I wouldn't consider shopping there again.

I bought a king-size mattress from that store 9 years ago for $1100, and it came with delivery. The delivery person, a guy named Slavik, showed up in a mini-van wearing a 2-piece Adidas suit and carried the mattress into the house himself. I had no complaints about the service.

We've purchased a few items from them, and while they're functional, they don't hold up well. In contrast, we've had good luck with IKEA's budget-friendly options, such as a $1100 pull-out sectional that lasted for years.
