Is the Moxy hotel in Halifax a good choice for a 2-night stay in mid-November?

My partner and I are thinking of booking a stay in mid-November for two nights, and I’m curious what the atmosphere is like. What’s the nightlife like there? Is it pretty quiet, or is there much going on? Would we be better off heading downtown to find a lively pub or somewhere with a good atmosphere?

I've been in the area and it's pretty good for getting anywhere you plan on going. The rooms at the hotel I stayed in weren't the most impressive, but the location made up for it. If you're looking for a lively atmosphere, you might want to consider heading downtown.

I stayed at a hotel for 5 nights a couple years ago and it was a very 'trendy' hotel. The lobby was just a bar, and the rooms were small and very bare-bones. It's a good location, but the rooms are pretty basic and the mattresses are rock hard.
