Do mosquitoes count as unwanted insects? How about fruit flies or shower flies? If you see a cockroach, by the time you go get someone, they'll be long gone. Staying in a serviced apartment might actually introduce bed bugs to your unit, not to mention the neighbors' issues.

But since all the units in a serviced apartment are managed, any bug infestation is dealt with quickly. That's not the case with individually managed condos, where a neighbor's infestation might go unaddressed.
