I've been following the news about the 2027 rate increases in Arizona and I'm concerned that the average increase of 29% is nearly double the national average. I've read that Arizona is one of only five states that prohibits blocking rate increases after review. I'm worried about the impact this will have on residents who are already struggling to afford healthcare. Can anyone explain why Arizona's increases are so high?

We recently got married, partly because one of us has excellent health insurance coverage, while the other was paying over $1000 a month for their own coverage and their child's. The high cost of insurance premiums in this country is staggering, and it's even more frustrating when you need to use it and still get taken advantage of. The unwillingness to consider universal healthcare is particularly concerning.
