For a family-friendly outing, consider visiting Rockefeller State Park north of Tarrytown. The park's carriage roads and lake trails are relatively flat, with some gentle hills further south. It's not yet at its peak, but the scenery is still lovely. Be aware that the parking lot can get crowded on nice weekends, so it's best to arrive early. In fact, some people even park on the side of the highway to avoid the $10 parking fee. When in the area, we often opt for Rockefeller over Kensico Dam, which is nearby.
