I've noticed that every few blocks, there's a new Sede Café. It's like they're everywhere. I'm starting to think it's suspicious.

Not everything is a conspiracy.

Decent coffee at a reasonable price. The staff at my local Sede are friendly.

Well, it's a business model that works well. The coffee isn't as expensive as what you'd find at Garat or Starbucks, it's pretty decent, has a catchy and unique branding, and they set up shop in places where they'll do well - the locations I've seen are in areas with a lot of students and Godínez. Not everything is a money laundering scheme, and not all businesses in Mexico have to be fronts for something shady or failing.

Plus, the locations are all tiny, which must be very appealing when you're not paying rent for people to sit there on their laptops all day.

The owner's connections are intriguing. They share a name and surname with a high-profile individual, and have the resources to rapidly expand their business, opening multiple locations and creating jobs.
