How to quickly free my military card?

I'm thinking of pursuing a career in government institutions, but I don't have time to attend the service for a year, and I'm worried about having to go every week.

If you're not enthusiastic about it, it's unlikely you'll avoid serving. Just go drop your papers as soon as the reception opens and wait to see what you're assigned to. That's the best I can suggest.

I'm not sure if this is still an option, but I think in the past you could 'encamp' and get your military card released in three months, or so I was told by the recruiters when I got mine.

I was also hesitant and signed up at 20. I went to the recruitment center in my neighborhood and didn't even have to do a lottery, I just went twice - once to drop off my papers and the second time they told me to leave something in the hat and I'd be done.
