How big is Halloween in CDMX?

I'll be visiting Mexico City for a bit and I did a lot of searching, but couldn't really find out if anybody really celebrates Halloween to any kind of similar degree they do in the US. I'm wondering if Halloween parties are popular with locals and/or in the hip touristy areas like Roma and Condesa. Should I bring a costume?

Mexico City offers a diverse range of celebrations, including Halloween and Día de Muertos. While some areas host more low-key ceremonies, others organize larger events reminiscent of Projet X parties. Simply ask locals for recommendations, and you'll find affordable options to suit your taste. You can either bring your own decorations or find them at a low cost.

Following the pandemic, the city began using its historic center as a marketing tool. As a result, CDMX now hosts both traditional and commercial events.

Halloween is an American import. It's not a tradition in LatAm
