I've always been fascinated by American Halloween traditions, but I'm not sure if it's weird to do it as a grown-up.

If you're short enough, you can wear a mask or an inflatable costume and pass for a kid, but just do it a little bit to get the idea. For instance, you could wear a simple mask and a pair of sneakers to blend in.

You can walk around in a costume and admire the decorations, but the actual 'asking for candy' part is specifically designed for children. This is because it's a fun and festive experience for kids, and adults are generally not expected to participate.

Last year, I gave out candy with some neighbors in my neighborhood, and we handed it out to anyone who walked by, regardless of age.
