I'm a remote worker based in Calgary and I'm frustrated with the transit system's time limit. It takes me longer than 90 minutes to get downtown and I think it's inefficient. I'd love to get a 'tap on tap off' system like other major cities have. I know it would increase ridership and make transit more appealing. Does anyone know why the city set the time limit at 90 minutes?

I have a double-bowl kitchen sink and I'm looking to replace both corroded basket strainers and rebuild the ABS drain piping underneath the sink, including the connections between both bowls and the P-trap, up to the existing drain connection at the wall. The quote I got was $890 for all, including parts, labour, and GST. Is that a rip-off?

We got a street sweeping ticket on June second when the sign right beside our home clearly showed only June first for street sweeping. The website also had an unclear message telling us that it started June 1st, with no further messaging. So we moved our car to a paid lot for the first, and returned it. To our surprise, we were towed and ticketed on the second. To our even further surprise, the appeal was just denied! Is there any other option to fight a ticket that isn’t court at this point?

My child turned three and he can read simple sentences, write short words and do rudimentary math. I'm worried about putting him into school early as he's small for his age already and a pretty sensitive kid.

I'm on my 3rd unpaid Indigo parking ticket, and I plan to continue not paying them. I find it pretty ridiculous that they won’t waive a ticket when you can show that you registered for parking and made a one-character typo and/or where at a business in the building for the period in a lot with “free parking” for said business.

We have a bunch of bottles to donate but the groups doing bottle drives only come around infrequently.

I'm a family of four living in Calgary since 2020, originally from Italy. Our water usage hasn't changed, but our bill tripled from August to September, with a usage jump from 8 m3 to 77 m3. We've already called Enmax, but I'm hoping someone else might have experienced a similar issue.

I'm looking for a house sitter to stay in my home for 3 weeks while I'm away, and I want to compensate them fairly. I've been talking to some friends of friends, but I don't know what's a normal rate for house sitting in Calgary.

We've been looking at places to live in the inner city, but it's hard to find something with enough space for our growing family. We've noticed that many cities in Europe have courtyard urbanism, where buildings are designed around a shared green space. We love the idea of a mix of home sizes, from 4+ bedrooms to studios, with natural light from both sides of the building. Are there any courtyard buildings in Calgary that fit our needs?

I've seen her on the train several times, always singing and wearing a tiara. She's friendly, but I'm curious if anyone else has seen her and if she has support.
