Why is it so hard to find an actual 1-bedroom apartment in Playa del Carmen?

Why is it so hard to find an actual 1-bedroom apartment in Playa del Carmen?

I'm trying to find a true 1-bedroom apartment in Playa del Carmen, but even when I filter for 1+ bedrooms on Facebook Marketplace, many listings are actually studios advertised as one-bedrooms. I'm looking for a long-term, furnished apartment with a separate bedroom, natural light, and a balcony within a 10-minute walk of the beach. My budget is up to $1,500-$1,700 USD/month.

Check fb market place or post your classified listing here, you shouldn't have any problems with the budget you have.  High season is coming so it's best to lock in.

If you don't want to browse through multiple marketplace groups, consider hiring a realtor. With your budget, finding a suitable rental should be straightforward. You can start by identifying the buildings and neighborhoods you prefer and look for rental signs or online listings in those areas. If you need help with negotiations, I can provide you with my realtor's contact information.

At that budget, you can post what you want in a group focused on rentals in Playa del Carmen.

Advertising your budget and desired rental specifications in the PDC rental market can make you a target for scams and frauds.

If you're unable to conduct due diligence or take responsibility for your own rental search, you might be correct that Facebook marketplace in Playa is suitable for your budget. However, reputable agents often deal with rentals like the one you're looking for and post them in established groups.

There are many legitimate rentals posted on Facebook, including open units in my building, which are regularly posted by the property manager.

The Hollywood and Guerrero Gonzalo areas have multiple one-bedroom apartments available for rent, and some of them are fully furnished.

Some rentals are posted on Facebook, but many others have a 'se renta' sign in front. Walking around the area and taking down phone numbers from property managers can be a good strategy. For example, a two-bedroom condo in a nearby neighborhood is available for 17,000 pesos, which is less than $1,000.
