How to avoid sales recruiters at Target?

I've had a few encounters with people who start a conversation with me at the Target on Dale Mabry, and then try to recruit me into some kind of business opportunity. They seem to be using a scripted approach and are really pushy.

I had a guy at Publix strike up a conversation that seemed like a classic Amway recruitment tactic. He was a middle-aged, successful-looking guy, so I thought I'd hear him out. However, he refused to provide any actual details about the 'opportunity.' I ghosted him after a few seconds, which was probably the best decision.

We encountered a similar situation at the Target in Riverview. A young couple approached us, saying they just moved to the area and wanted to meet new people. They seemed friendly at first, but then we started receiving texts about being our own boss. It was clear they were trying to sell us something.

A few years ago, I met a woman at the Publix off Cross Creek. We started chatting, and I thought it was a chance to make a new friend. However, when we went to grab coffee a week later, she and her husband showed up, and they quickly launched into an MLM pitch. I had to think fast and come up with a fake emergency call to get out of there. I blocked her number after I left.
