Is the Arizona State Fair kid-friendly?

I'd like to take my 9-year-old son to the Arizona State Fair, but I'm not sure if it's suitable for him. He's shy and well-mannered, and I'd hate for him to be exposed to anything that might be too intense for him. He's really interested in the rodeos and bull riding, but they're at night, and I'm worried about the crowds and noise.

Keep in mind that prices at this attraction are extremely high, far exceeding what you'd expect to pay.

The cost of admission is quite steep, but my four-year-old really enjoyed the experience.

Given that this venue serves alcohol, it's not entirely suitable for young children, but families can still have a good time. However, it's worth noting that this is a real-world environment where kids may be exposed to things they're not used to, such as loud noises, crowds, and people using strong language.
