Portable electric stove in Boquete?

My gas has been suspended in my neighborhood and I'm not sure when it will be restored, so I'm thinking of buying a portable electric stove. Do you recommend it? Does it affect my electricity bill much?

When there were the Chiriqui protests, I was without gas too. We just used a rice cooker and an air fryer for everything.

If you already pay for gas maintenance, it's not very logical to add an electric stove. But if you buy a portable one, it's a good idea for those situations.

If you're going to buy an electric stove, I highly recommend an induction stove. Unlike a conventional electric stove, which only heats a resistance under the glass, an induction stove creates a magnetic field that only activates when it detects a stainless steel pot, making it more energy-efficient and stable.

Buy an induction stove because the resistive ones (the cheapest ones) are very dangerous. I bought one at Carbone and the power cord caught fire, and I was getting shocked.

I have an induction stove and it only increased my bill by 12 dollars. They heat up faster than gas stoves, heat up the kitchen less, and emit fewer harmful gases.
